Wanting to talk to the editors of The Cape Cod Times in Hyannis, we had segued from MA6A to MA28 (nominal north) April 14, thereby mandating a loop through Chatham before heading straight west toward Hyannis.
Sunday April 15 we attended the 10:00 AM Episcopal service at Church of the Holy Spirit, Orleans, before proceeding to Chatham and beyond.
Back on the road it was mostly positive feedback: honks, waves, thumbs up, V-signs. One woman on foot said: “You are my heroes;” gave us some large peppermint lifesavers.
Two teen-aged girls pulled up in a car in a parking lot to see what was up, driver said: “We were one, maybe two [when the event (9/11) happened].” We mentioned the existence of many websites and books but missed an opportunity to give them a TAP flyer.
Expecting some negative feedback, we got it April 15 from a driver pulling away in a parking lot: “Why don’t you guys go f___k yourselves — a__holes!”
Probably made about 11 miles on April 15 after an estimated, 7 and 9 the two prior days; 27 miles in all the first three days.
Today April 16 Patriot’s Day was cold and blustery but with wind from behind or quartering. Out of Chatham on MA28 north we crossed Harwich in all its various adjectival forms, Dennis, into West Yarmouth only one mile from Hyannis: 16 miles.
We spoke to Matthew in his 20s, who parked his pickup truck and walked back to us, driven by curiosity about what we were selling. Listened receptively after allowing he was “a conservative.” We gave him a TAP flyer and the address of this blog.
Many thumbs up, honks, V-signs, etc, no F-words.

Keep up the good work. Wishing you warmer weather.
You two gentlemen are on the right side of history. The dude who cursed you (and, I note, immediately drove away in heroic retreat) is on the wrong and his attitude will end up in the legendary dustbin where it belongs in due time. Profanity does not a rational argument make. An attempted deception on the scale of 9/11 cannot succeed in a democratic nation and you are providing a crucial service to your countrymen and -women by pulling back the veil that has been hung by the media in front of the twin towers and Building 7, a now tattered veil, thanks to 9/11 researchers and analysts, has more holes in it as time goes by, some enormous. In the end, truth will prevail because there are more good people than bad in this country. And even bad people don’t like being lied to. TRUTHWALK leads to truth talk. You’re on the right path no matter what highway you walk along.
*that has more holes
