A Poem, 1-8-22

The Bohemian Hymn

In many forms we try
To utter God’s infinity.
But the boundless hath no form,
And the Universal Friend
Doth as far transcend
An angel as a worm.

The great Idea baffles wit,
Language falters under it.
It leaves the learned in the lurch;
Nor art, nor power, nor toil can find
The measure of the eternal Mind,
Nor hymn, nor prayer, nor church.

It’s 2022!

Hello everyone! Happy New Year 2022. Is that possible? It must be.

The other day a professional designer who before then didn’t know about the website at all got a look. But because this blog is about communicating about truth, justice and reconciliation with words as opposed to other visual means, the designer may never have his or her way with it. (The photo of the back of a young man in a T-shirt facing the mountains came with the site. It is not a photo of either me or Bruce Henry, with whom I walked across Massachusetts; it had only to be selected.)

Enough for now. It’s holiday time, and pursuing and spreading the word about 9/11 truth, among other truths, can wait.

We’ll be in touch in a few days.

Notes, 12-27-21

Yesterday I happened to see “Don’t Look Up,” with (best known of a great cast) Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep. It’s a lot of fun, with upside-down absurdity masking reality.

Viewers will find much to like, not least those who visit this blog. For maximum enjoyment, don’t go near a trailer but rather listen to this song, with eyes closed.

At Cooper Union

The other day I wrote to Andrew Kreig, one of the founders of the Justice Integrity Project, asking for the name of a conference we both attended (he was an organizer of it). He emailed back with not only the name, but the advance description that follows below. It was a wonderful one-and-a-half-day event, which naturally no mainstream news media outlet covered. There was no summary of it afterwards either. It was held in the days before Zoom (I think). It was not only well worth the time and price of the train ride for two of us from far Western Massachusetts and the hotel for two nights, it helped reinvigorate what has now become a movement, albeit one which the Executive Branch and the obedient mainstream media collaborates to make a quiet one — to the extent that they can. Again (to avoid confusion), the event previewed below occurred five years ago this last September. — MCM

In the News: Yesterday’s contained an item that Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker, U.S. senators from Massachusetts and New Jersey, had both tested positive for the coronavirus despite each having had two shots plus a booster shot. This shows how ineffective the experimental shots can be — no surprise to people making their way through Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s book The Real Anthony Fauci.

–   –   –

Also in the News: This is the time of any year for lists of recommendations. NPR’s “Morning Edition” noted yesterday that Richard Heinberg’s Power: Limits and Prospects for Human Survival made Bloomberg’s “Best Books of 2021” (HERE, scroll down). The recommender is Jeremy Grantham, a long-term investment strategist. I have excerpted some passages of Power in previous entries, which I’ll try to link to.

Up to Page 126: I just finished reading Chapter 2 of Kennedy’s book. The chapter is titled “Pharma Profits Over Public Health.” At just six pages plus two pages of small-type endnotes, it compares in length with 95 pages plus 22 pages of endnotes for Chapter 1 (“Mismanaging a Pandemic”).

I continue to find the book highly readable and packed with fact after fact after fact. Chapter 2 was as slow going as the Introduction and the first chapter were for me, because I tend to underline sentences and write in the margins.

How to Review It Properly: Any publication that wants to do justice to a nonfiction book needs to try and make sure which of its author’s assertions stand up to close scrutiny and which don’t. Here’s a thought: A magazine or newspaper wanting to cease pretending that The Real Anthony Fauci doesn’t exist or that its author is a “conspiracy theorist” might pair a prospective reviewer with a tried and true fact checker and they can go to town. Checkers can give a plus (+), minus (-), “doesn’t matter” or “don’t know” (0) to each assertion.

By his own reckoning, Kennedy has spent 40 years tracking Dr. Fauci and studying his field and the federal agencies supposed to be regulating medical care and pharmaceuticals. He seems to have the goods here. If mainstream media outlets are to deserve the credibility they should crave, they need to stop assiduously ignoring the book and its author, stop calling names, and get to work.

–   –   –

Michael Specter: A few entries ago I suggested the New Yorker writer Michael Specter as someone eminently up to the task of reviewing Kennedy’s book. He has, after all, known and covered Dr. Fauci for decades, and has not been overly critical of him. So he could not be dismissed as a nut for noting here and there in his review that, yes, Kennedy makes a good point. He is presumably knowledgeable enough about allergies and infectious diseases and medicines to be able to say where he thinks Kennedy has it wrong or is unfair.

At the bottom of page 123, Kennedy describes him as “the adoring Michael Specter” when it comes Dr. Fauci.

Weekender, 12-19-21

This is a late Weekender, as Friday, Saturday and the first half of today were filled with family errands and activities. I am posting at about 8 p.m. At about 6:45 I encountered bothersome problems I attributed to hacking. Maybe it was hacking, maybe not. But here is this entry before tomorrow. — MCM

–   –   –

‘Duty to Family is Paramount’: During the walk Bruce and I took across Massachusetts starting from Provincetown in mid-April 2018 bearing four “9/11 TRUTH” signs, his wife, Ellen, kept a log of the towns we stayed in and rough counts of mileage walked day by day. (Bruce would phone her every night, or vice versa.) Early last week she lent me her log and notes for me to copy, and when I returned it on Friday I apologized to Bruce for being out of touch lately, noting all sorts involvement with yard and house upkeep and family. “Duty to family is paramount,” he said.

This is certainly true in his case over the decades. When I reflect on what ELSE was going during the month or so when we did our walk, I think that if family duties came first, we would not have done it. (More on that another time.) But we are who and what we are and, having talked about the walk for a year or so prior, if we had NOT done it, we wouldn’t have been who we were. “To thine own self be true.” Besides, in a sense we were playing hooky from family duties, and it was fun.

–   –   –

Breakfast Friday (or Thursday): Bruce and I met at the Soda Chef for a late breakfast on that day. He walked the two miles from his house. I drove from mine so I could give him a ride home if he wanted one. He was late. As he put it, it takes longer than it used to to cover a given distance. He’s about 81. (Bruce’s age is sometimes hard to nail down because when asked he gives the age nearer in days to his nearest birthday. That makes sense for a former engineer and math instructor.

–   –   –

Who Is Lionel? For readers who have not looked him up already, since his contribution last week, HERE, Lionel is a lawyer in New York City who is also a standup performer at this or that venue. The venue Bruce and I encountered him at in person (only time for either of us) was the Justice In Focus conference at Cooper Union in Manhattan. He was on stage during one of the Saturday segments, probably unknown to most attendees. The insights of this bespectacled stranger — irreverent and unexpected — were most welcome and on target in the way, say, those of Lenny Bruce or George Carlin might have been. They were just the thing for a day and a half of presentations and forums otherwise peopled by lawyers, architects, engineers, investigators and others.

Not a mention of the conference, of course, in the mainstream media, which in 2016 were adhering to the official 9/11 narrative even more than they are today.

–   –   –

Birds Are Real: Here’s a caveat on my pronouncement in the last Weekender, HERE, that birds are real. I had been reacting to a New York Times story and photo on billboards round and about saying something to the effect that some “birds” that humans see are actually small drones designed and manufactured for use as reconnaissance (spying) devices or weaponry. Well, of course, governments and corporations are almost certainly at work trying to perfect such devices — before too long some will be for sale at toy stores.

My feeling on that part of the post was that the Times just wanted to give some attention to a straw-man “conspiracy theory” example for it to swat down, and I still think that was part of it. I’ll try to read the story at the library when I can and see if I still do then.

–   –   –

NPR Propagandizing: A segment on National Public Radio’s “Sunday Edition” this morning provided two examples of how mainstream media “news” people buttress the dominant narratives they helped shape in the first place. NPR national political correspondent Maura Liasson was chatting with a host.

“Democrats’ hair is on fire and Republicans’ hair is not on fire,” she said in reference to the deliberations on the riotous storming of the U.S. House of Representatives and accompanying vandalism on Jan. 6 by supporters of then-President Trump (were others involved as well?), who had encouraged his die-hard supporters in person at an outdoor gathering that morning to disrupt the Electoral College vote, on the basis that in several states the vote had been “stolen.”

I point out Liasson’s remark because even most voters who are registered with one of the two major parties are probably of the mind that the whole thing is being overblown — pumped up by commentators and reporters who have to uphold the dominant narratives of the day. Most of their sources, after all, are Democratic or Republican elected officials or are Republican or Democratic party operatives, who they want to return their phone calls or emails or grant them interviews.

Not to mention the vast numbers of voters who don’t identify with either major political party, or those Americans, registered or not, who don’t vote. It seems that a purpose of the mainstream media in this country is to keep the duopoly serving serving the interests of the real holders of power.

Another part of the chat concerned alleged “anti-vaxxers” and so-called “conspiracy theorists” (Liasson’s terms) not adhering sufficiently to the U.S. government/media line on masking and getting vaccinated yet again. These two vague and over-broad terms marginalize large groups of people who are trying to figure things out and don’t automatically accept what’s presented on the news.

Has either Liasson or her interlocutor read The Real Anthony Fauci by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.? If so, they don’t show it, because the author, who has been studying the subject for decades, is often labeled an anti-vaxxer but he says he’s not and explains why. Apart from its appearance on best-sellers lists, the book has yet to get any mention, positive or negative, that I know of, in the mainstream media (apart from in RFKJr.’s interview on Fox’s “Tucker Carlson Today”). Question, if Liasson had read the book, would she be allowed to mention it for NPR listeners?

Please Return

Readers of this blog will have to wait for “Weekender, 12-19-21.” Awaiting a little tweaking by me, which would have taken about 20 minutes, it would have been posted at about 7 p.m. Sunday. There are five items in it. However, apparently it has been hacked, as the security I’ve been warned about really does have to be upgraded. I think it’s a pretty good entry, albeit one which can’t be posted tonight. I hope to post tomorrow. Maybe even this explanation won’t get through. — MCM

Assange & Justice

Why We Must Defend Julian Assange

By Margaret Kimberley

December 10 is International Human Rights Day. It is always a sham holiday for the United States, which locks up its own people at rates exceeding those of every other country, and routinely makes war against the rest of the world. In 2021, the date was treated as

Assange & Justiceeven more of a mockery than in the past. Joe Biden convened a bizarre democracy summit, wherein he declared other nations good or bad based on whether they go along with the dictates of the U.S. empire. Although it was in London where the U.S. behaved in a particularly shameful manner, working with the United Kingdom to secure the right to extradite Julian Assange.

In 2018, Assange was indicted in the Eastern District Court of Virginia, a hanging court where acquittals are rare. His offense is one that the system will not tolerate. Over a period of years his organization, Wikileaks, revealed U.S. crimes committed around the world.

Assange ran afoul of four different U.S. presidents, Republicans and Democrats alike. WikiLeaks revealed war crimes committed during the George W. Bush administration in their Iraq War Logs and Afghanistan War Logs. Private Chelsea Manning leaked the Collateral Murder video,  which shows the deaths of civilians, including two Reuters reporters, as they were gunned down by a U.S. army helicopter crew in 2007.

Collateral Murder was released in 2010 when Barack Obama was president. All of the purported differences between Democrats and Republicans disappear when U.S. hegemony is in need of protection. Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, confirmed that Assange was under investigation. While the Justice Department ultimately chose not to indict, they laid the groundwork for Donald Trump to make Assange a political prisoner. Obama’s unprecedented use of the Espionage Act sent other whistleblowers to jail and gave Trump license to get his hands on Assange. As always, Joe Biden follows Trump policy and he continues the Assange persecution.

The Trump administration built on the work of the Obama DOJ and secured a 17-count indictment in 2018, with charges that could result in a 175-year sentence. Of course they didn’t stop with criminal charges, which were useless as long as the Ecuadorian government gave Assange sanctuary in its London embassy. The Trump administration secured a $4 billion IMF loan for Ecuador, just one month before Assange’s protections were lifted. The timing of the transaction and the arrest were clearly not coincidental.

It isn’t surprising that presidents wage war against the truth tellers of the world. What is especially disheartening is the way that journalists have abandoned Assange and turned into U.S. government spokespeople if they discuss his case at all.

Media outlets such as the New York Times, the Washington Post and The Guardian worked with Assange for years, printing WikiLeaks revelations on a regular basis. Yet they have said little in his defense ever since he was arrested on April 11, 2019. Neither have the liberal elites, who parrot the falsehood that Assange is responsible for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 defeat. According to Democratic propagandists, Russian operatives hacked the Democratic National Committee computers and gave a trove of embarrassing emails to WikiLeaks. Hillary Clinton even refers to the organization as “Russian WikiLeaks” just in case anyone forgot to blame others for her political debacle.

Of course, WikiLeaks received the DNC documents the same way they received all others. A whistleblower leaked the material and the rest is history. Except history didn’t turn out as most people predicted. Hillary Clinton lost, in large part because of the corrupt behaviors that Assange revealed.

The DNC revelations were as big a threat as the war logs. Assange exposed how the Clinton campaign amplified Trump, in a mistaken belief that he would be the easiest Republican to defeat. They also proved that the primary process was rigged against Bernie Sanders, who would have been the better candidate. The revelations had to be squelched and the need to turn Assange into a scapegoat only intensified over time. Russiagate was the means of vilification and made him persona non grata with people who might have been his defenders.

The Collateral Murder video shows the killing of two Iraqis who were employed by Reuters in Baghdad. One would think that some professional courtesy would be extended to their memories, if only for appearance sake. But that isn’t how corporate media operate. They work on behalf of the state and they conveniently forget their past relationship with WikiLeaks and the killings of their colleagues so that they might stay in the good graces of the people prosecuting Assange.

Ultimately the U.S. and U.K. couldn’t be bad actors at all if powerful media organizations behaved like independent entities and not as an arm of the state. Assange has no influential friends and sits in Belmarsh prison, having suffered a stroke on October 27, 2021. His physical and mental health deteriorate while unscrupulous people in London and Washington decide his fate.

The corrupt process must be exposed and all Assange supporters must speak up. The United States should not be allowed to use the Espionage Act or any other mechanism to snatch up anyone, anywhere and charge with a crime of dubious legality. If they are allowed to do so in this case, they will certainly do it again. Anyone who wants to expose high crimes will find themselves in Assange’s position. People who oppose the empire and its machinations are all at risk if Assange is extradited and stands trial in the Eastern District court. He is a political prisoner and others will be too if the prosecution proceeds. It is no exaggeration to say that we are all Julian Assange.

Our technology forces us to live mythically. — Marshall McLuhan

Have You Heard the Latest?

By Lionel

Greetings.

Now, hear me out.

If you wanted to destroy what’s left of America you couldn’t play it any better than this. By nullifying and neutralizing our spirit. Our feeling of belonging. And connectivity. The American collective has already been clobbered by Covidmania, our fear and intimidation boosted by gain of function. Masked shackled petrified and immobilized. I don’t even recognize my country. And certainly not my city. New York City, once tough and unyielding. Now, surrendered to Hochul’s hokum after Sollozzo’s reign of terror and Big Bird’s synchronized malfeasance. If you want to see tough, go to Europe. That’s the site of resistance. Not here.

Keep up the systematic destruction. That’s the goal of the shadow government (SG). Disconnect America from anything of importance. Give them inferior educational systems and never ever ever allow them to even approximate any ability to critically think. Disengage and disconnect them from art mathematics poetry science, everything of importance. Keep them stupid and amused. And always scared. Panicky. Pause their operating systems: they won’t be needing them any time soon.

Keep the American people confused. By all and any means. And that’s easy to do. Make sure they do not possess even a rudimentary understanding of how their system is supposed to work. Provide distraction and amusement at all times, rendering them unable to focus and attend to that which is necessary. Medicate die Kinder. Shut them down and shut them up. Plop their kids in front of a Zoom class and pretend she’s learning anything. Play along with the illusion as teacher unions rob students of anything resembling an education. And keep them masked. Masked and disguised so they can never exchange a smile or gesture. Push them away. They’ll be fine. They’re kids. Right. Manageable, malleable. Resilient. Sure.

Don’t you believe those studies of affected students that report suicides and mental illness through the roof. Ditto for addiction warnings. That’s just anti-vaxxer Trump MAGA conspiracy theory drivel. You know how that works, right? It’s all a conspiracy theory. Everything. Or is it climate change? Anyhoo. But you’re smarter than that. Blink once for yes.

And who’s always at the helm churning and regurgitating the fake news folderol? The SG sockpuppet anarchic nihilist radleft media. They’re always there. Always. Ready to follow orders without question. Especially when it comes to the #J6Trespassers. The biggest case of nothing in the history of nothingness. It’s all they have. They’ll just drag out Ol’ Sourpuss Liz Cheney (who’s rumored to have last smiled during the Harding administration) to dust off, T/trump up and attempt to breathe life into the most seriously overdone unnecessary charges in American history. There was no insurrection, no sedition. Nothing to rival the Civil War, WWI, the Korean or Boer Wars, 9/11 or the heartbreak of psoriasis. It was precisely what it appeared to be: trespass. That simple. Scary at times, you betcha. Actionable, absolutely. Wrong, without a doubt. But remember the real reason. The actual purpose of the entire event — to forever quash squash and squish any chance Trump has of running again.

Are they that scared? Without a doubt.

Till it be morrow.
