Iran’s supports peace initiatives on Ukraine. From Tass. DUBAI — The Iranian authorities welcome all initiatives aimed at political settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, including the relevant talks planned in Saudi Arabia, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanani Chafi says. On Saturday, the Wall Street Journal quoted sources as saying that Saudi Arabia plans to hold peace talks on Ukraine in Jeddah on Aug. 5 and 6. According to the newspaper, key officials from 30 countries will attend the meeting. Russia has not been invited.
