BROOKFIELD — A free concert to celebrate in song the Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution will be performed by the Unitarian Universalist Church choir and others at the church on Sunday, June 3, at 4 p.m.

“The Bill of Rights: Ten Amendments in Eight Motets” was composed by Neely Bruce (b. 1944), adapting music by William Billings (1746-1800) to accompany the words of the Amendments.

The words of the Amendments to be sung in their entirety will be read between the motets. Bruce, a professor of music at Wesleyan University, will give a brief introduction. Lila M. Farrar, the church’s music director, will conduct.

The church is at 9 Upper River St. (Route 148) facing the Brookfield Common. For further information, call 508-867-5145.
