WTC7 Update

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Friday denied a “request for correction” to its 2008 explanation that fires caused the collapse of the World Trade Center’s Building 7 on Sept. 11, 2001.

The anticipated denial came in a letter to Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, which has 30 days to appeal it. AE911Truth said this afternoon in a strongly worded mass email that it would appeal and challenged supporters to donate $3,000 to help cover the costs.

“Even a cursory reading of NIST’s letter … reveals [the] response to be a blatant avoidance of the arguments and facts contained in the request, written with the intention of misleading the uninformed reader into believing an adequate response has been provided,” AE811Truth’s message states.

”The pseudo-response NIST has issued makes abundantly clear that NIST is unable to rebut any of our claims,” AE911Truth continues. “Yet rather than comply with the Data Quality Act and correct its deeply unscientific report—or even amend its report to include basic information substantiating its currently unsubstantiated conclusions—NIST has elected to stand by its report and make a mockery of the Data Quality Act.”

The full message, which will be fully understood only by the most dedicated and experienced of structural engineers, is HERE. It includes illustrations and links to past reports and communications.

The 47-story Building 7 , which unlike the Twin Towers was not reported to have been struck by anything resembling an aircraft, came down hours after they did in a similar fashion on Sept. 11, 2001.
