X-Ray Vision

Talking to a 9/11 Truth “skeptic,” i.e. one who accepts the government conspiracy theory, is like having x-ray vision into that person’s head (his/her thought processes). One commonly sees:

1. Unwillingness to continue thinking about 9/11. Having been convinced of the validity of the official story, one need not exert oneself further to ascertain the truth.

2. Factually wrong information, e.g. that World Trade Center buildings 1 and 2 were “exoskeleton structures.” When confronted by easily verifiable contradictory facts such as that the towers were supported by massive interior columns, they either (a) insist their concept is right, or (b) after learning that the thickness of steel in the box columns decreases going up as the load decreases — pivot on a dime to point out an allegedly weak point in the correct model, e.g. “the planes targeted the most vulnerable points of the towers.” Or, “Defective steel was used in the main columns.”

3. Willingness to stretch common sense like Plastic Man, e.g. believing that Flight 93 (Pennsylvania) buried itself 300 or 500 feet in the ground. Crashing aircraft barely scar the ground. One hundred percent of bodies, seats, luggage are always recovered — as was not the case there. The idea of Flight 93 or any other passenger jetliner burying itself even 300 feet in the ground is totally fanciful — in reality, there could be no such thing.
